This is an example from previous years:
Archery Tag-Free
Archery Tag has the excitement of dodge-ball and the thrill of paint-ball. Unlike paintballs and dodge-ball the arrows leave no welts or bruising, making it fun for players of all ages. Two teams battle to be the first team to knock out all the centers of their opposing team’s 5-spot target. The game ends in one of 3 ways: all of an opposing team’s members have been tagged out, all the 5-spots have been eliminated on an opponent’s target, or a set time limit has passed. If the game ends because the time frame has expired, then the team with the least amount of center- spots knocked out wins.
Cardboard Sled Race-Free
The Cardboard sled Race is an exciting group activity that takes place on Saturday evening. There are two parts to the competition. For sleds entered in the design competition, sleds will be judged during the Parade before the race. Sleds are timed, and the fastest sled is the winner. It’s always an exciting time to watch the sleds come down the tube hill and wonder if they will actually make it across the finish line!
Ga-Ga Ball-Free
Ga-Ga Ball is played in a large octagon called the Ga-Ga court. Ga-Ga Ball begins with someone throwing the Ga-Ga Ball up into the air. When it bounces the players say “Ga” each bounce for the first three bounces. After three bounces the ball is in play and the game starts. Game play is an adaptation of Dodgeball, but the actual picking up of the ball and throwing it at a person is not allowed. Game play involves hitting the ball only and trying to keep it in the court
Ice Chute-Free
The Word of Life Ranch children’s camp waterslide is transformed by icing it down, clearing a path on the frozen lake and sending campers flying down a straight shot onto the ice.
Mega Tube Hill-Free
The Mega Tube Hill is made up of two straight shots (also used for the Cardboard sled Race) and a winding course from the top of the WOLBI mountain to the base of Hungary Dorm. The tube and snow will be provided; you just need to provide the energy!
Paintball-$20 per
Paintball is available all day Saturday and is located in the woods to the left of the tube hill. Sign-ups will be on Friday afternoon. Markers, 100 paintballs, as well as all other safety equipment will be provided. Additional ammunition may be purchased. Safety orientation will take place before each game. Players must use WOL equipment only, with the exception of the mask, which is subject to WOL approval. Do not bring personal paintballs, paintball guns or markers.
Rumble Ball-Free
Rumble Ball is an insane combination of Rugby, Soccer and Volleyball. We run pick-up games during all of the open activity times. This is a physical game that involves a lot of running and potential physical contact.
Snowmobiling-$20 per 20-minute session
Snowmobiling occurs in 20-minute sessions on Saturday morning and afternoon. Drivers are not required to have a driver’s license, learner’s permit or be of a certain age-they simply must be able to handle the machine. Drivers operate the snowmobiles at their own pace in a controlled, groomed area. The track wraps around the soccer field, and has a good combination of turns, hills and straightaways. The track is clearly outlined but the camper will need to be able to keep the snowmobile on the track at all times. The snowmobiles are designed for one-person operation, therefore, no doubling is permitted and time slots may not be shared (one person per sled, per time slot).
