Campers can bring their fishing equipment to the Island as long as they are at least 16 years old and have a license to fish in New York. If the camper wants to keep their fishing gear with them, it must be stored in a tackle box; they cannot keep a pole with an exposed hook in their cabins. They can fish as long as their counselor can accompany them to the beach or a kayak in the kayaking area. If the camper does not act responsibly with the equipment, it will be taken and stored until the end of the week.
